Privacy Policy

What this covers
The Cloudbase Foundation runs this website. This policy explains what we collect here and what we do with it. It covers this site only — not GiveLively, which processes our donations, and not the social platforms we link to.
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us. If you submit a project idea, we receive the name, email address, organization, location, description and budget you enter, and store them in our own customer relationship system so we can read and respond to your proposal. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site, we do not build profiles of visitors, and we never sell, rent or trade anything you send us.
Donations
We do not take payments on this site. Every donate button hands you off to GiveLively, which collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy — we never see your card information. GiveLively passes us the donor details needed to acknowledge your gift, issue receipts and report on how funds were used.
If you write to us, we keep your message and address so we can reply and maintain a record of the conversation. We are building a newsletter; when it launches, subscribing will be an explicit opt-in and every message will carry an unsubscribe link.
How long we keep it
Project proposals are kept as part of our grantmaking record, including proposals we do not fund, so we can track what communities have asked us for over time. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
Your choices
Write to hello@cloudbase.foundation to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not ask you to justify the request.
